What makes our church unique among other churches you might consider joining? We can make a promise to your family that from "birth to heaven" we have a strategic plan for teaching each family member how to understand and apply the Bible to daily life. If you desire to have a church home where there is a strategy for growing you and your children spiritually, no matter what age you are, you'll love Church at the Cross.
We partner with Lifeway Christian Resources and use their Bible study materials in all age groups. Those materials are coordinated across every age division so that biblical learning is taking place in age-appropriate ways throughout a person's entire life. Preschoolers, children, teens, and adults are all developing biblical skills and knowledge to equip them for spiritual growth.
Biblical Levels of Learning
The teaching resources we use are built on the information in the documents below called LifeWay’s Levels of Biblical Learning. This simple but important ministry tool was developed by experts to provide visible milestones as we guide kids in their spiritual growth as they hear, know, and do God’s Word. It provides teachers, parents, and our church staff with milestones related to biblical knowledge, skills, and attitudes at the designated levels from birth through preteens. Levels of Biblical Learning gives a coordinated approach from birth through preteens by using ten concept areas—God, Jesus, the Bible, Creation, Family, Self, Church, Community & World, Holy Spirit, and Salvation. Preschool Years (Hear - Know - Do) - Lifeway works hard to know kids. They take the time to understand how they play and learn. All of the Lifeway curriculum for kids are biblically sound, age appropriate, fun, and easy for teachers to use. These foundational resources help kids HEAR God's Word, KNOW God's Word, and DO God's Word by learning to apply it to their lives.

Teenage Years (Know - Own - Known) - The Bible study materials for your teenager will prepare them for life now and the life ahead as they move beyond the youth group. We'll help them grow in their relationship with God through the KNOWN curriculum from Lifeway. The study materials are built around the three core concepts of Know-Own-Known, which come directly from Luke 2:52.
KNOW - (Upward Development) - "And Jesus grew in favor with God..."
OWN - (Inward Development) - "And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature..."
KNOWN - (Outward Development) - "And Jesus grew in favor with man..."
KNOW focuses on the two key issues of LORDSHIP and DISCIPLESHIP
OWN focuses on CHARACTER and DISCERNMENT
OWN focuses on RELATIONSHIPS and INFLUENCE

Adult Years (Connect - Grow - Serve - Go) -
Our adult curriculum strategy is built around the concept of Connect-Grow-Serve-Go. It is important that the materials we provide for you give you a balanced approach to spiritual growth. It is important that you CONNECT with God and others through meaningful healthy relationships, that you GROW in your understanding of Scripture and how to apply it to life, that you find ways to SERVE in the church, and GO into your world of work, recreation, your neighborhood, etc., and help others come to know God as they see you living out your faith, serving in the community, etc. Our adult curriculum is balanced among these four key growth areas whether your LIFE Group uses Lifeway's Explore The Bible series or the Bible Studies For Life series.
