Gregg has served as the pastor of Church at the Cross since 2002. He is a native Texan who grew up in Texas and Oklahoma. He and his wife have been married since 1981 and have three grown children. Gregg's first ministry is to his family, and he spends most of his free time with his wife and children. He also enjoys tennis, golf, carpentry, and reading.
Gregg has served as the lead pastor of four churches since 1983. His passion
is to help people know God personally by leading them into a fuller understanding of the Bible. He is a "teaching pastor" who enjoys teaching the Bible one verse at a time.
Gregg expresses his vision for the church as follows:
“I believe we can best understand the purpose and nature of the church if we see it as a family, an extended spiritual family. God is our Father and we
are His children. A healthy church will function as the family of God. It will reproduce, helping the new believer and new member to grow and develop in his or her faith and life skills. It is there to rejoice in the good times, comfort in the sad times, and encourage in the challenging times. It provides a sense of belonging by creating an environment where meaningful friendships are developed.”
Gregg is a graduate of Baylor University and Liberty Baptist Seminary. He is a popular speaker in churches, evangelism and family conferences.
