Our church has a partnership with Timberline Elementary that gives us opportunities to invest our time in students, faculty, and the school itself.  If you would like to become involved in our Timberline community ministry, email the church office so we can get you connected to our next opportunity to serve there.  Some ways we have served in the past include:

Backpack & School Supply Drive - Each August our church members buy backpacks and fill them with school supplies, then take them as families to Timberline Elementary.  The school has a list of children who come from economically challenged homes, and they distribute the backpacks to the children.  During August we keep a list of school supplies by grade at our Timberline table in the church atrium.  Drop by the table, pick up a supply list, and start shopping!  You can make a big difference in helping a child have the supplies they need to do well in school.

Angel Tree - families from our church adopt children from Timberline whose families need a little help making Christmas special for their children.  We have provided everything from toys to clothes to bikes and so much more.  Our church families have been very generous in their support of this ministry every December

Thanksgiving Food Baskets - each Thanksgiving we provide an average of 50 boxes of food for families who are struggling to make ends meet.  We deliver the food boxes a few days prior to Thanksgiving, and the school distributes them to families who have applied for assistance

Workday projects - our young married adults and their kids spent a recent Saturday morning painting one of the school's playgrounds...what a difference that made!  The school is always needing help keeping things maintained, so if you can sling a paintbrush or swing a hammer, we've probably got a job for you!
